Bees in the New Curriculum for Wales
The new Curriculum for Wales (CfW) presents an exciting challenge for teachers and a completely new approach for equipping our learners with the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to become valuable, confident contributors to society.
The world of the honey bee presents so many unique learning opportunities and covers the full range of Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLEs) included in the new curriculum.
The WBKA is developing resources aimed at primary school teachers and educators wishing to teach pupils not only about honey bees but pollinators in general.
If you are a teacher or educator and have any ideas or thoughts about the resources you would find useful on our website please email us at schools@wbka.com
Beekeepers
Do you give talks to schools, cubs, brownies or other groups on behalf of your local association? We would be keen to pool our resources and find out what our members are currently offering to schools and if there is any training you would like to support your sessions. Please contact us at schools@wbka.com
