Learning: Introduction – Dysgu: Cyflwyniad
The WBKA Learning & Development Committee is made up of several trustees and officers and meets quarterly to discuss and drive Learning & Development issues, escalating those matters which require wider Management Team and/or Council input/approval as appropriate.
We are really keen to encourage members to avail themselves of suitable learning opportunities, and for WBKA to develop these when we can – a recent example being the General Husbandry Preparation Course held at Gregynog.
These pages aim to bring together what is available, not only in the shape of formal exams & assessments, but also through courses or events being run by WBKA or other organisations, or locally by our member associations.
If you have a course or event you would like to share more widely via this section of the WBKA website, please contact ld@wbka.com
Learning is a continuing process for beekeepers. There is still so much we do not know about bees and new and evolving research sometimes changes our perspective on what we thought we already knew.
We welcome suggestions for ways in which we can further support members in their learning and development. If there is a particular area where members feel that some centrally organised training would be useful, please email me with your suggestion so we can consider your idea.
